Unfortunately I never had the chance to meet Duane, in fact this was the first time really meeting all that attended this memorial ride. Over the last few days since the gathering many thoughts and feelings have hit me. First of all this group is truly like a caring family. Its one thing to be on a forum and follow people you have never met but to be part of a gathering like this where people ride from all over to honor a fallen friend/member says so much about the bond they share. One can only image how the family felt especially during the incredible tribute Mark gave. It was so emotional and beautiful on what turned out to be a gorgeous day under the trees in their yard. To hear about his zest for life, riding, and adventure really made you feel what a great person/friend he was and how fortunate others were to know and share a big part of his life with him. They say your lucky if you have 1 best friend in life, maybe 2, but it was evident Duane had many more than that. You have to believe he was looking down feeling the love of that day and being totally in peace. Here are a few more photos I was able to capture.

Nice young man named Kyle. I think he told me Duane taught him how to ride dirt bikes and he’s been around Duane ever since. Really nice guy.

Duane, was Kyle's dad's first employee. Kyle was pretty young as he hung out with Duane at Sandlapper Automotive where Duane was a mechanic. Duane taught little Kyle how to ride on a dirt bike. Big Kyle rode with us twice, once to Rt 80, Roan Mtn and Hot Springs, the other time in NGA with Jwilly and Lumberg. Excellent rider, even better person. He was one of Duane's pallbearers.

I hope to get him on a ride with Lumberg and I sometime soon.

This is the drone footage from the arrival Saturday. I trimmed out the spots where I was checking for clearance, etc. A version is forthcoming that will have the gopro and still images mixed in as well.
