Mildly tested the transmission recall, all’s well. Tomorrow I’m going to test the s#!¥ out of it.

Rode it to work this morning. 33 degrees meant turning up the heated liner a little bit. Need to put the Pinlock insert back on my face shield.

Just ordered some to fender mount. It was the late night display of FJR lights at SFO that won me over.natehawk750 wrote: ↑Tue Nov 02, 2021 9:40 pm Started making some brackets to mount darlas to the forks.

Those events can be quite expensive. Pretty sure YFO cost some folks $400-$500 in a new GPS thanks to me.danh600 wrote: ↑Wed Nov 03, 2021 9:44 amJust ordered some to fender mount. Far from over in Upstate SC and even up on the BRP as you can see from this photo taken yesterday. Next week is going to be in the upper 60's to 70's and the foliage has barely started to turn where we are. In fact I like the time coming up in late November early December as the leaves are off the trees and you can really see the road, streams etc. Plus all the leaf peepers are gone and you practically have it all to yourself. A day or 2 left to ride? Hardly, Say it ain't so Wheaton. The best it yet to come.

Yeah, this cold weather front is sucking...but I will be glad when normal and above normal temps make their return.Blueridgerider wrote: ↑Wed Nov 03, 2021 4:05 pmFar from over in Upstate SC and even up on the BRP as you can see from this photo taken yesterday. I was just giving my northern buddies a little nudge. But I have to be careful about that...they get a little thin-skinned about that. Especially after they have been imbibing in their winter sport of drinking.

Since there was a light comparison, we need a thread about what was involved and what impressions were. For science.

Re: What did you do to your FJR today?
I have a number of days off scheduled between now and the end of the year. And I still have 9 days left to schedule. Half of those I’ll still actually be working. But I’ve no room to complain. Tires will die.

A couple of days ago I got the Michelin $60 SUMMER rebate card. It only took 4-5 months. So today I had breakfast on Michelin.
Put the cover on the FJR. See you next spring FJR.

Re: What did you do to your FJR today?
Four FJRs pulled into the driveway late at night. Believe me there was no science involved at this point. Display of lights. I took pictures but not time for documentation. Take your best guess.bill lumberg wrote: ↑Wed Nov 03, 2021 5:56 pm Since there was a light comparison, we need a thread about what was involved and what impressions were. At least you know there are options.
I drank the koolaide but only ordered Darlas.

Interstate travel is over for the year, but day rides are just getting good.
