I do not know if anybody talked about this before. (didn't bother to look)
I ordered a oil change kit from a Yamaha dealer. 5 qts Full synth with oil filter and 3 copper crush washers. Three different sizes.
I know the large one is for the oil drain bolt Left side bottom of motor.
What is the small and medium copper crush washer for?
I only know of one oil drain location on the FJR.

Re: Oil change kit
The other 2 washers are for the final drive fill & drain. You can use the same size washer on all 3, I buy flat aluminum washers in the right size from Amazon, or Honda Gold Wing oil drain washers..or Suzuki Vstrom drain washers..They are all the right size. The last time I changed the oil I used some Dowty hydraulic washers that I normally use under the banjo fittings of my Vincent. There are only 3 things that are important..I.D, O.D and deformability - the material must deform when tightened.

Re: Oil change kit
If the kit isn't model-specific, it is possible that the other crush washers are for different bikes. AFIK, the fill hole and drain for the final drive is the same size as for the oil pan - wouldn't take a smaller washer.
I didn't change my crush(ed) washer on my '07 in the 185,000 miles I owned it. Still using the original on my 2011 with almost 90,000 miles. Neither bike ever leaked a drop of oil. YMMV
Note: The owner's manual says to change the oil filter every second oil change. That is my usual practice.

Re: Oil change kit
All 3 washers on the FJR are 14mm ID. I use the Honda aluminum ones, they last forever.

Re: Oil change kit
That must be it. The oil change was not FJR specific. I had not thought of that.
