I've been slacking...

Post by Name Etc. »

I only rode 12,000 miles last year. I promise to do better this year. On a side note. I'm getting way less miles per tire so I'm having a ton more fun, right?
One of my favorite shots from march this year in Big Bend national park.

Thingfish and I are planning to ride down to New Orleans in April and then across the south of Texas. We don't really have a plan of what we want to see or how long we plan to be on the road, but Big Bend is high on my list.

Fewer miles is not necessarily slacking. It's the quality of the riding that counts. ;)
My wife asked me why I speak so softly around the house. I said that I was worried that someone was listening. She laughed, I laughed, Alexa laughed.

Big bend is the don't miss one though. So if you have to make choices. But if you are riding south Texas. kerrville and that jazz is on your way to Big bend.

Thanks again. I also want to see The Alamo, so the two things high on my list are The Alamo and Big Bend.

How many of those 12,000 were commuter miles? I put 5,500 on my FJR and about 2,500 on the DR650 and TDM combined.....but I only rode to work maybe a half dozen times.....I hope to get more miles this year......but I doubt it.

I'm 11 miles from work. And almost every day? Never figured it out.

22 mile/day x 260 days = 5,720 miles. That's a ballpark so it looks like you and I are pleasure riding about the same. I'm not discounting the commuter miles, just curious.
