Hi Ross,
I’ll clean the hoses when I get back from the trip ,
Codes appear only on diag mode ?
Or they appear on normal display when you about to start the bike ?
I'll answer for Ross, he can come along later and straighten out my post if necessary.
In the Fuel Injection System part of the FSM, it isn't exactly clear that there are Fault Codes and Diagnostic codes.
If your motorcycle has a solid fault, the ECU will display the Fault Code(s) on the Meter Assembly, along with a flashing or solid Check Engine light. The fault will be stored in memory (diag 61) and will increment the fault count in memory (diag 62).
When you go into the diag mode you are reading the whole fault code table, item by item. The next table is the Self Diagnostic Code table where you can dynamically check results, and then there is the Actuator Codes table from which you can switch and run items. Finally, there is an additional table that shows the fault and it provides detailed trouble shooting information for each Diagnostic Code and sometimes a Reinstatement Action you need to perform to clear a code from memory.
