Laam Custom Motorcycle Seats

Post by clocklaw »

Well, my Laam arrived today, I can't wait to try her out. Tomorrow would be perfect weather, but it's calling for rain on Saturday, may be a Sunday afternoon ride for sure:

My buddy Jim got his Laam seat in for his VFR1200 this week. Extremely well made and he had a great buying experience with them. Jury will be out until at least May whether it's good or not for him.

I can agree with that....Seth was an absolute pleasure to work with. He is a motorcycle enthusiast and we got tied up in a conversation about my TDMs.....he had never seen one before.

You won't be disappointed. Just know that he isn't big on e-mail, much prefers direct communication with the client by telephone. He called me while he was elbows deep in my seat and we discussed what hurts first when I ride. I had mine and Brenda's redone, it only cost a little more to have hers worked while he had the cover off. He widened hers all the way out to the grab bars, got home last night and installed them, fit is perfect! Of course the "proof is in the pudding", I will post more once my butt has a chance to dig around into it.

Give Seth a call and talk to him about it, he'll tell you how much he can take out of it and still give you some comfort.

I am interested in the Laam seat. Has anyone gone with leather and the heated option?

So far so good, I'm testing it now, taking it for a ride in the rain, figured I need to beat the bad weather that's coming.

A couple on the other site have gone with leather and been very pleased with the results. Not aware of any who have heat...

not sure but I'm gonna say yes, he had never seen a TDM850 before and he said he would do that seat for me. Give him a call, the fit on my seat is fantastic! And enjoy the chili!

I'm almost positive he will. He's going to do my Triumph Explorer seat here in a few weeks.

Keep me posted on yours Gramps...I love the Sargent seat that Martin suggested and it did give me better results than stock. However for real long distance I'd like to have a little more comfort and was thinking a Russel

My opinion is that you would love the Russell.
I just shipped my seat out to Seth Laam so I've got a couple weeks before I get it back. I'll let you know how it goes.

...Sounds like Bust's motto.

I had Seth do my seats last year. In leather. With some subtle blue topstitching (at his suggestion).
Best seat ever. Looks great. Feels great. Smells great.
