Riders,
My 2008 FJR is doing fine by me. If I could change one thing, though, I would want something like a back-panel illumination behind the LCD information panel. It is hard to read in certain light conditions. A glowing sheet of microscopic LEDs would be okay, in whatever way that can be done, under the LCDs. Alternately, for you aircraft types, I have found 12Vdc LED eyebrow lights, sold as license plate illumination bolts, that could provide light from above the panel. I think two of them would be enough, and I may even have to dim them a bit with some tinted tape. I'd rather not be drilling into the panel, though, if there is a better plan out there. Maybe I am missing something, so any suggestions would be welcome.

Panel Illumination

P.S. Life is too short, and health is too valuable, to ride on cheap parade-duty tires.
Yeah, I ride motorcycles. I know why dogs put their heads out of the car windows.
Yeah, I fly hang gliders (3000 hrs.+). I know why the birds sing.

Re: Panel Illumination
For me, among the top of the list of Desired Mods Never Done is a dash light dimmer switch. The glare from the reflections in the windshield at night can be really annoying when on rural unlit roads.
