This is a ‘thanks guys‘ as much as anything new.
So after lots of encouragement and advice from many, (sorry, can’t remember names), at the FWG last month, finally got around to installing the Gen III shock bought pre owned, prob three years ago, and torqueing the steering stem on the beloved Gen II.
Man what a difference! Before the steering torque was done, the first ride out showed me that she will hold a line on curves, when you can find them here! The torque job maybe helped too but the shock swap made the biggest difference surely. Now just got to dial in the damping.
Just wish I’d done it sooner. Now enjoy riding more, so much that a new RDL seat has been ordered and just got around to servicing that front brake master cylinder.
Cheers guys, talking with you gave me the motivation to do it.

Glad to hear you finally got it done, Steve. Maybe a trip to the mountains is next?
