Seat on Gen II vs Gen III
Does anyone know if a Gen II seat fits on a Gen III ...really would like cruise control and feel in love with the silver on the 2013 model. Just wondering if my new Sargent seat would fit on it?

All reports so far are that they fit. Your Sergeant should transfer over easily.

Re: Seat on Gen II vs Gen III
I can honestly say that I have been bitten by this sport touring thingy. This weekend had two great rides and was kinda missing the cruise control. The cruise I have gives my hand a break and when solo .....no problem. Riding in a group kind of not so good unless your in the back. So I'm still on the fence ....and now just ordered new shoes P3's. With only 2500 miles on the 2010 they grawl into the corners and there 3 yrs old.
Hmmmmm decisions .....decisions. Then again a Super Tenere would be nice in the stable to round out my bike coverage. This mid-life crisis shit is a pain in the ass. Like I tell my wife, cheaper than an affair

Jeff,
Upgrading from a 10 to a 13 or 14 is a pretty expensive proposition just to get cruise control. The McCruise Control at $950 is a lot cheaper than a new 2013 FJR. I was going to add it last winter but I ran out of farkle funds after buying a lot of other stuff for the bike. So instead I was going to do it this coming winter but I think I'll spend it on an Ohlins instead.

It's designed for the motorcycle, it's turn-key and I would prefer its Cable Interface Kit over a key chain for throttle actuation. For me the $700 buys a lot of peace of mind.

Meh. Just get a vista cruise. Oh wait. You already have one. Hell of a lot cheaper than cruise control. If I did a lot of slabbing I would probably want the cruise. I will wait until I get my 2014.
