Annette made things clearer for me - EMT's and the ER are not an acceptable path towards having a hot Asian red-head in the garage. Now, they through that color on a Super Tenere and there will be some serious discussions...

Brenda just tells me to go get it (of course I am the one that would have to pay for it). As for the hot Asian redhead, I already have one...her name is Ginger....and she is a TWIN

You boys better not hold your breath for a red S.T. Word is 2014 won't see any here in the US.

By Gawd...They were such a phenomenal lame attempt at taking over the GS market share they must have done it already, so there's no need to make any more.

Poor BMW...They were so upset at 100 GS owners worldwide trading for a S.T. that they upped the ante with a liquid cooled GS that makes almost as much horsepower as the FJR.

I do not dare go ride one; even though my buddy at the dealership has called me 3 times. I'm afraid if I did, I might end up with a new bike in my garage...AND I have to trade a bike to buy a bike; if you get my drift.

Oh yeah...They come in RED!!

Wrong! They just delayed the announcement to tease us a bit...

My local Yamaha dealer, as well as the rest of the US dealers, all received this letter yesterday. I'm a loyal BMW GS Owner/Rider, but the Super Tenere certainly isn't going away!

September 10, 2013

Dear Yamaha Motorcycle Dealer,

The 2014 model year Super Tenere will be introduced in March 2014.

Dealer order allocations for the 2014 Super Tenere will be based on each dealer's retail sales of 2012 and 2013 Super Tenere models.

We hope this information helps you better plan your current and future retail business plans.

Sincerely,

Dennis McNeal

Well, since the US hasn't had a decent color since 2005,i figure we're due one.

What's so wrong with "polished turd brown" anyway???

Prolly 'cause Mama Yamaha was disgusted with the performance of your NHL teams this past year.

Canuckistan gets the 1300E in black according to my Kelowna dealer and photos sent by a friend in Yamaha Canada!! My logic to management is that if I wrecked my black 2009 , the black 2014 will be a safe replacement with no learning curve etc.
Does that sound too desperate!?

I guess black is better than brown. Maybe they'll give us nice red ones in 2015?
