Looks like the A model has been dropped, ES only. No change from last year. Also, looks like the same gray.

Europe (Britain) gets gold wheels to go with that gray, and kept the matte blue with black wheels. They also get the AS (YCC-S auto clutch) again. Looking like Magnetic Bronze (Root Beer) is no longer. Tracer GT gets the nice red the Tracer 900 had last year, but black bags... hmmm.

Based on my observations in Europe earlier this year of the tens of thousands of commuter motorcycles, let me assure you, the Niken (and its many MANY cousins) isn't going anywhere.

Isn't "liquid graphite" the same color as 2015 (i.e. "Assfault Gray")?

Also, if I'm reading the specs correctly, it would appear that the Unified Braking System is FINALLY complete (applying the front gets you a small amount of rear). THANK YOU YAMAHA!!!!

Otherwise, at least for the US model - I see no changes.

Also, I do not see anywhere within the specifications that the 2020 FJR1300 is Euro 5 compliant. If I understand the rules, Euro 5 has to apply to "new models after 1/1/2020". Where does this 2020 FJR fall in this issue? If the current drivetrain is not Euro 5 compliant, and can't be made so with ECU and controls changes (HIGHLY unlikely), then I wonder if that is the end of it? Is it a coincidence that Europe gets the "Ultimate" model, perhaps as the swan song?

The gold wheels with the black paint remind me of the old Yamaha Midnight Specials of the 1980's here in the US. What I found most distasteful is the gold stripe on the fuel tank. I could actually like the gold wheels but that stripe near gags me.

When I was at Barber Vintage Fest Yamaha had test rides. They generally had one of about everything in each line up. With the exception of the Nikken. They had three of those in each group. They booked up immediately. They created the most buzz. Not sure if it was because they were nice or just something different. The Yamaha guys were quick to say they are a three wheel motorcycle. They will fall over if you don't put the kick stand down.

I like that 2020 FJR. I just haven't finished wearing out my 2013.

Why? Entire thing is unnecessary, it should go away for a more traditional simple system.

Respectfully, I disagree. I'd greatly appreciate it. If I had that feature, I'd probably never use my rear brake. (60K now, and at least 1/2 of the rear pads still unworn).

The front brake stops the bike, but a SMIDGE of rear brake does wonders.

Which is exactly why we don't need Mama Yamaha working the rear brake for us. It has no idea the current road conditions. Let me do it myself and I'd be happy.

I also don't want to be forced to use the rear brake to get the most out of the front brakes. That is stupid.

Rideapart says this is the FJR's last year the Europe due to non-compliance EU5 emissions regulations.
