Fuel pump part number question

Post by dcarver »

5JW-13907-22-00 - does this include motor, pp, sending unit? KrZy89 sending unit is ok.. but want to at minimum replace motor and pump... given I found very small metal shavings on pp screen...

Sure looks like Item 64 has everything. The description sez Fuel Pump Comp which I assume to mean Comp-lete. It's a spendy little sucker.

That's what I was hoping for. Yes it is spendy. I saw the 'comp' too, so am hoping it's the whole enchilada. Tx for the post ionbeam!

Going to try an ultrasonic clean of the pickup screen on the old one first?? Or see if you can replace the guts with one of those on eBay?
Or just bite the bullet on a new pump.

I saw an eBay listing for a replacement strainer but have no idea whether it would really fit...

Also a rebuild "kit"
https://www.ebay.com/itm/Quantum-Fuel-P ... SwZAldZYiU
Other ones available... (some are < $20!!)

Pretty good price on a used replacement...

Doesn't appear to include the sender for fuel level.

I was going to say Quantum also. KTM guys seem to like them, no FJR experience.
