Re: Double Darkside
I finally swapped out the front tire with 64.5k on it. It was no where near worn out. I’m shelving the tire for local riding in the future. I have 2 rides approaching of 6k and 15k and I do not want to be concerned with tire wear.

Re: Double Darkside
I don't mean to be thick but I can't seem to get my head around this. You're saying 64k (miles?) on a motorcycle front tire? Is there a new IBA cert for riding a 50cc as one long wheelie?
If I get north of 5k out of a front I feel like I should rush out and buy a lottery ticket. If there's a secret to that kind of longevity I'd love to hear it.

Re: Double Darkside
First thing- it’s not a front tire. This is actually a rear tire mounted on the front. No, I would not recommend using this tire for twisties (Even though I’ve done them on the state ride arounds. To each his own on riding styles.FjrVfr wrote: ↑Tue Aug 27, 2024 4:21 pm I don't mean to be thick but I can't seem to get my head around this. You're saying 64k (miles?) on a motorcycle front tire? Maybe, but I’m working on it.
Averaging Over 50k the last 14 years, you’d think I could ride better.

Yikes.
Thanks for the clarification. I was certain I either misunderstood or my cheese had left the cracker.
Those are some serious miles.

Re: Double Darkside
I have just over 20k on my double darkside set up. I mounted them up just before my 100ccc Memorial Day weekend and hit the the 20k mark while in Mexico for Labor day weekend.
